Selecting the best cement is completely based on materials you are using for a job. There is a hierarchy of cements, or luting materials. At the base of the pyramid, you will find the most common or conventional cements. Above that are self-adhesive cements that are typically resin based. It allows dentists to use conventional methods with a few of the advantages found in a pure resin cement.
